لطالما كان الفن وسيلة للتعبير عن القضايا الاجتماعية والعالمية الهامة وأداة لوصل مشاعرنا بأفكارنا وبالعلم. لذلك تتشكل حول العالم تعاونات بين نشطاء البيئة والمناخ والفنانين للتواصل مع الجمهور بالفن وبالتدخلات الثقافية. في نفس اللإطار قامت تبديل بالتعاون مع منظمة آرت فيجين الأفريقية بالعمل على مشروع فني في فراغ عام في أسيوط. تحتفي الجدارية بثقافة الدراجات في أسيوط وخاصة مدرسة إسماعيل القباني حيث دراجات الطلبة والمدرسين مصطفة حول جدران المدرسة (انظر الصورة أدناه)، وهو مشهد رائد بالنسبة للمدارس والمدن المصرية نفخر ونعتز به.
في الجدارية نحاكي هذا المشهد ونمثله على طريقة فن أسيوطي شهير هو قماش التللي الذي يحكي قصص أسيوط ويعرف عالمياً بقماش أسيوط. خطوطه المبسطة نرى من خلالها الطلبة والمباني والشجر والنيل وبيئة صديقة للدراجات نتمنى أن تستدام.الجدارية إهداء من تبديل ومشروع جي ميورال.ز

Artists have always been in the public realm opening dialogues through art about the social issues and public concerns, using art as a tool that connects our ideas to emotions and that inspires change. Therefore, in recent years, we find collaborations around the world between climate activists and artists to deliver the pressing need for climate awareness. With the same goal, Tabdeel partnered with Arte Vision Africa to deliver a public art project in Assiut, Egypt.
The mural project celebrates the cycling culture of Assiut and especially Ismail El-qabbany’s school, where the students’ and teachers’ bicycles are packed around the school walls (check the photo below), which is a pioneer scene among Egyptian schools and cities, that we appreciate. In this mural, we represent this scene through mimicking a famous Assiuty art (Tully cloth), which tells the stories of the city and is known internationally as Assiut’s cloth. Through its simplified lines, we see students, buildings, trees, the Nile, and a bicycle-friendly environment, that we hope is sustained. The mural is gifted by Tabdeel and Ji Mural.
